Dissemination of Research Results from the Regular Fundamental Research Scheme: IWORS 2025 (17th International Symposium of the Indonesian Wood Research Society) in Mataram, Lombok

On September 21, 2025, the lead researcher, Dr. Istie Sekartining Rahayu, S.Hut, M.Si, disseminated the results of the research entitled Dimensional Stability of SiO2/BN Nanocomposite-Modified Wood at the IWORS 2025 (The 17th International Symposium of the Indonesian Wood Research Society) in Mataram, Lombok. The dissemination occurred in the form of a comprehensive international scientific symposium. The IWORS forum is an international scientific forum organized by the Indonesian Wood Research Society (MAPEKI). Since its inception in 2009, this symposium has evolved into a recurring event that facilitates collaboration among researchers, academics, industry practitioners, and government agencies from both domestic and international backgrounds. The objective of this event is to

  1. The forum is intended to facilitate the exchange of the latest developments in science and technology.
  2. It is imperative to promote international research collaboration.
  3. It is imperative to provide support for innovation in the realm of sustainable forest resource management.
  4. The objective of this initiative is to facilitate collaboration between academics, industry, and policymakers.

The upcoming symposium will encompass five primary domains:

  1. The following topics will be examined in this study: biocomposites, manufacturing technology, physical and mechanical properties, panels, and adhesives.
  2. The following is a list of topics to be covered in the section on wood properties and quality improvement:

– Drying

– Preservation

– Anatomy

– Processing

  1. The field of bamboo-wood architecture and engineering encompasses the study of structural mechanics and building construction.
  2. The domain of forest product chemistry encompasses a wide range of disciplines, including bioenergy, nanotechnology, pulp and paper production, and the utilization of natural products.
